I particularly like these olives because they are not stuffed with either pimento, onion or cheese. I love the salty taste and I have two olives each in my 6 day a week 5 o'clock Martini. The seventh day is reserved for a Manhatten as a memory of having worked in NYC many years ago and where I was introduced to that cocktail. If not for that, it would be a Martini for that seventh straight day.. The Greek olives are superior to any that come from other countries. Keep them in production because at 90 I want to keep enjoying them as long as I can still manage to hold my glass.

There is NOTHING to compare with the taste of olives grown, harvested and cured for sale in Greece. Olives in the US are given a bath in lye, then cured in brine. that LYE neutralizes a non-toxic but VERY bitter compound (oleouropein) and then the olives are water-change and fast brine cured and packaged for your consumption. If you've only tasted US grown and US common cured olives, you've not tasted olives. The problem is *time. A lye bath cuts the time it takes to process olives, green or full-ripe black, next to nothing. In Greece, and in the other countries in Europe, they take the extra time to slow brine (salt) cure olives. The taste is fuller, complex and delicious. THESE beautiful green beauties are no exception and live up to expectation. Whether you drop one into a martini or add them to a salad or eat them straight out of the jar, you're in for a real treat! As a 4-year-old, I was exposed to Greek cured olives and that was a lucky surprise. I'm 70 now, and It was decades before I learned why the olives grown in the US all those years were bland, if not boring. Time and salt curing without lye, makes all the difference. If you live where you can grow your own olive trees, you can duplicate the process. It's not hard, but it's not fast. The rest of us are lucky. WE can buy and consume those grown in Greece and cured in Greece. I LOVE green olives and these are especially tasty! Try them! You're going to love them!

Krinos Cracked Green Olives are super tasty with just a hint of pepperonchi peppers in the brine but I like to add a tasty Golden Greek pepper that I also got from Greek Market. Either way, these olives are perfect for snacking straight from the jar. Greek Market has the best prices, quick shipment, and great customer service so I keep coming back every time I start to run out of Green Cracked Olives.

I have tried MANY olives - these are undoubtably the BEST! I eat them straight from the jar and the brine makes a great dirty martini. Greek Internet Markets has the best prices on the web. @ times the order of 17 jars arrived with a broken jar and both times they have taken care of it quickly.

The Greek green cracked are my personal favorite.They are not oiley at all. The peperchine's add just the right flaver and zip I like.They like other olives I order ship quick and areusually packed in bubble wrap.
