Vlahotyri is similar to Kefalograviera. It's a table cheese that does not crumble as feta cheese does. Vlahotyri is used to make saganaki.

Where to begin. First, you can't say enough good things about this cheese. it is so creamy and rich, melts excellent. My family loves getting saganaki Everytime they see it on the menu, this is what the restaurants use. They ship it to you in a cooler and it comes within a day or two. It's a great product, and has made my family happy. Worth every penny.
Best for Saganaki

I have been trying a number of different cheeses for making Saganaki and so far this is the best cheese I have used. Great job to Greek Market for fast shipping.
Excellent cheese for saganaki

"FARMER'S CHEESE"

If you have never tried this Greek cheese you are in for a pleasant surprise! "Vlaho" means farmer and "tiri" means cheese in Greek. So Vlaho-tiri simply means "farmer cheese". The taste is completely different from Feta and Manuri. This cheese is made with sheep milk. It's flavor is somewhat reminiscent of sharp cheddar cheese (but milder). It is great for eating sliced in a meza tray, grated on pasta, or melted on lamb burgers!
