Manouri cheese is a semi-soft fresh white cheese made from the drained whey from feta production (sheep or goat milk). It is similar to feta cheese but creamier and less salty or salt-free. Manouri cheese is a used in salads, pastries, as a dessert cheese, and in other Greek dishes.

This is a classic mild and soft greek cheese from the Horio (farm village). I love to eat it sliced on rye crackers. Buy it from the Greek market because they pack it in a special zippered and reusable bag with an ice pack. They shipped it to me in Florida when the daytime temps were close to 90 degrees. It and some Feta cheese arrived cold and in perfect condition!
I love this shop and have been recommending to all my Greek relatives.

This is the best cheese I have ever eaten. Soft and creamy, I loved it. My only problem is I can't eat it fast enough.
