Greek Honey From Crete - Thyme - 12 oz jar

This is one of the rarest honeys in all of Greece. No where else in Greece does one find the Thyme flower grow this high. The honey is collected on the Island of Crete in an area called Sfakia high up in the White Mountains by the Saviolakis Family, the oldest bee keeping family in Crete. The Saviolakis Family has been collecting honey for 250 years.

In laboratory tests, thyme honey from Sfakia was found to have the most effective and diverse anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties.

This is the highest rated honey in 2016 with 3 gold stars from the International Taste and Quality Institute (iTQi) and one gold star from the Great Taste Awards.

Thyme Honey is also unique because it can only be collected for a couple months out of the year from June - August, making this unique honey even rarer.
