This icon of St. George on his horse was made in Greece. St. George is believed to be a healer and the patron saint of the poor, shepherds and warriors.
St. Geore nameday is celebrated on April 23 and names include Georgia, Georgette, Georgios and George.
Surfaces are made of pure 950 degree silver. Each icon is hand polished and hand hammered on a heavy wooden base. The hand painted sections are egg tempura colors.
