This icon of St. Demetrios on his horse was made in Greece. St. Demetrios is believed to be the patron saint of shepherds, crops and the city of Thessaloniki, Greece.
St. Dimitrios nameday is celebrated on October 26 and names include Demetra, Dimitri and James.
Surfaces are made of pure 950 degree silver. Each icon is hand polished and hand hammered on a heavy wooden base. The hand painted sections are egg tempura colors.
