Greek Fish Plaki Recipe


  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 3 fresh tomatoes, sliced
  • 3 scallions, chopped
  • 1 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 20 butter crackers, finely ground
  • Butter
  • Sea salt
  • Greek oregano
  • 2 large onions, sliced in rings
  • Lemon slices
  • 1 cup water


Use three pounds of your choice of striped bass, sea bass, bluefish or 2 pounds halibut, cod, or haddock fillets.

Place fish in greased baking pan and sprinkle with salt and pepper, oregano, and olive oil. Add tomato slices, scallions, parsley, and garlic. Top with cracker crumbs, dot with butter, and decorate with onion rings and lemon slices. Add water.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
