2 sticks unsalted butter

½ cup olive oil

1 Tbs shortening

¾ cup warm milk

2 cups sugar

5 eggs

1 Tsp Ammonia

1 Tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla powder

½ cup sesame seeds

8 cups all purpose flour

1 beaten egg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In a large bowl, beat the butter, oil, Crisco and sugar on medium speed for 10 minutes until well blended.  Dissolve ammonia in warm milk.  Gradually add eggs, vanilla, baking powder, and dissolved ammonia.  Add flour to form very soft dough.  Pinch off small pieces of dough and roll in long pencil-like strips about 6 inches long.  Form each piece into a U shape and then twist until a braid like form is made.  Take beaten egg and add 1 tsp water.  Brush tops of cookies and sprinkle with sesame seeds.  Bake for 15-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
